Scholarship Requirements:

1) Must be a Veteran, Guard or Reservist, or a Post 9/11 Gold Star Family member currently residing in Massachusetts.

2) You do not already have an advanced degree. Examples: MD, JD, master's degree., etc.

3) The graduate program you are, or will be, attending is located in Massachusetts, if it's a virtual/online only program the school's primary location must be in Massachusetts.

4) If eligible, you must have used all of your CH. 33 Post-9/11 and/or Montgomery GI Bill.

An up-to-date VA Education Benefits letter is required.

5) Maintain a GPA of 2.5 or better. Grades will need to sent to InnoVets after the first semester of the award year to receive the second payment.

6) All finalists will be required to sit for an interview.

 

Each recipient will also be given 2 seats to the Mass Fallen Heroes Gala that will be held on Thursday, May 28th 2026.

The application period will close on Friday, April 24th 2026. Finalists will be notified by Friday, May 1st 2026.

 

Essay Questions: You must answer all 3 relevant essay questions. Please keep each answer between 250-500 words. All 3 answers can be submitted in a single document, please note which questions are being answered.

1. How will earning your graduate degree make a positive impact on society and the military and Veteran community.

2. (Veterans and service members only) Tell us about an experience during your military service that shaped your pursuit of higher education.

3. (Gold Star Families only) Tell us how your family member's service impacted you.

4. How will winning this scholarship impact your life? What will you use the money for?

Are Active Duty Servicemembers or the dependents of Active Duty or Veterans eligible to apply?
No. Active Duty Servicemembers and dependents of military members or Veterans are not eligible at this time, unless they are also a Gold Star Family member. This may change in the future.
